|
|
2004 has been the best season for Michael schumacher. Out of the 13 races yet, he has already won 12 of them. He sure is a world champion, and coz of him, Ferrari is going great guns too. They are definately taking the constructors champion, with no one to give them competion.
When Mika Hakinnen was racing, atleast he gave Schumi some competion but now Schumi doesnt really have some strong competion, and if everything goes right with his car, he knows fro sure he is a winner.
A couple of my friends have been cribbing that F1 is getting very boring lately for the fact that Schumi is a sure shot winner, but i still feel its great to watch him. It might get a little boring to watch the race on TV, but when you actually see him in action, you'll know what really F1 is all about.
I had the chance to see the Australian grand prix this year, and it was an amazing experience. But lately, even i've started getting the feeling that if this goes on, F1 might become very boring, and we Schumi needs some competion to make the sport interesting. |

dude i think that schumi is the best. i am a big fan of him & ferrari, i think not just the driver the car also makes a difference. I think there is no other F1 car can compete with ferrari.
but schumi rulz. I agree with you, lately watching F1 has been really boring, its just like they are showing the highlights of the previous race.
hope they can bring some competitiveness next year, as schumi has already won the drivers championship. |

Getting someone to compete with Schumi is not that easy. Obviously a new comer in this sport wouldnt compete with him, and the others who are already present in the sport can match up with him.
Earlier, Kahinnen would give him a tough fight but now that he has also gone, i really dont see any competion. The Aussies have a lot of hope for Webber but he is way down. Barri can drive well, but yet again, he is not consistent.
Infact, i was reading soem news article which also spoke about F1 getting boring, and they mentioned how exciting it would be once Schumi retires!!
A day to watch for |

Hi ppl,
Aptly said, F1 is becoming more boring n less competitive, with Schumi leading all the way.
This thing is also happening in some other sports .Like in cricket, Australia is dominating like anything.
Lets try to analyze the reasons for it..........
Y does this phenomenon happen, why there has been so glaring distance between the leader n the the rest?N it is affecting more n more sports.
I feel, as the technology is changing n competitive sports r becoming more n more advanced, there is always a need to upgrade or take steps to move to the next ladder or phase of a sport.
But, these things don't happen in a short time span. It is a process that takes years to materialize.N one needs to hv a plan to execute such new n innovative ideas.
The ones who don't understand this generally miss the bus. N the ones who foresee it, emerge as the leaders. N they r not many.
Thus, the reason y Schumi is succeding or Australia winning is not tht luck is on their side, or other teams n competitors r not evolving n trying hard.
It is just that they hv advanced to a much higher degree than the rest, thus widening the gap.
It is time ppl take a lesson n work towards becoming the leaders, with a thorough plan in action.
Till then, its Schumi, Australia n a few others who will rule the roost.

Dude
Cricket & F1 are totally different sports. F1 60% is technology & 40% is driver skill. Where as cricker 95% is team sports & 5% may be technology. I think australia is a better team because of the hard work. I think that they have better facilites & inovative idea of traning & technology plays very small role.
Yes F1 may be but i donnot think technology has changed cricket, yes technology is involved with cricket but has not changed it or is the reason why teams like aus dominate. Even if you see West Indies were the dominating team in the first 2 world cup, they dominated 2 decades.
I think India rulz. & they are not far behind Aus |

| If Schumi was to move with Maclarens and Coulthard switched over to Ferrari, do you guys think this may change Schumi's performance, and F1 might be fun to watch again. I know this wont happen but taking just a hypothetical situation, do you think its possible for Coulthard to be a World champion with ferrari? |

| If Schumi switches to Mclaren, Schumi's perfomance as a driver will be the same but he wont be the one leading the race like in the ferrari, because since the couple of years Mclaren(car) performance has degaraded. Its performance is no where near to ferrai. If you see when hakinnen had won the world championship, he was in a Mclaren & Schumi was in a ferrari & that time ferrari & mclaren were neck to neck year after that hakinnen was no near schumi becasue the ferrari performance had improved compared to mclaren, i feel technology plays more important part in F1, bigger than the drivers. |

Well, what you say makes sense to me, but still it'll be difficult to say that Hakinnen for sure will beat Schumi if he switches to Ferrari, coz Barrichello is a nice driver too yet, he doesnt come second always, even though he drives a ferrari.
Well, i guess to end this, it'll be right to say that to win the race, its a blend of technology & driver skills and overall, yes F1 is getting boring |
