With elections round the corner, every political party is doing its best to woo voters. The media, be it print or electronic is flooded with ads of political parties showcasing their achievements. The case in question is the India shining campaign by the BJP, a leading political party in India. Though I too like many Indian citizens want that BJP should come to power but this does not stop me from pinpointing their follies.
You will agree with the fact that India is indeed progressing and shining too, but to spend public money on advertising by a political party is in no way ethical. As responsible citizens we pay taxes not to be squandered away on such things. Moreover I was very surprised one fine morning when I received a call on my cellphone from the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee. To be honest, it felt great at first. However, slowly but surely the reality seeped in. Firstly, the voice of the prime minister was recorded message. Secondly, it occurred to me that they might have generated a system, which picks up numbers on random basis and plays the recorded message. Thus, my initial excitement was brought down by my own thoughts. I could not decide whether the phone call enhanced my faith in BJP or somewhat reduced it.
The prime minister of any country should maintain his or her reputation and yet be easily accessible to the comman man. But ironically the phone call was only a recorded message. There might have been hundreds of people who might have received the call and had also wanted to convey their thoughts or pleas to the prime minister. So though the technology has progressed and is being employed by the political parties for campaigning, the interactivity that comes with the technology is a far-fetched dream. What is your gutfeel? |

If you believe elections in India are a circus, you ought to see them in the US.
HeeHaw!
The Demopublicans and Republocrats are so entrenched in our national government that any reasonable person would believe that those two private corporations own it; indeed, they constantly squander public money on their own behalf; and they have enacted laws that just about kills any chance that a third political party would have in making it into national politics.
Making a bade situation worse, though, is the unsavory fact that, at the upper eschelons, there isn't a dime's worth of difference between the Democrats and Republicans, which is why I refer to them as the Demopublicans and Republocrats. No matter which political party is in power, the foreign and domestic policies of the national government remain the same. That alone tells me that the two major political parties are, in actuality, one and the same.
I wish I could give you some advice on how to go about getting your government back under the control of the voting public, but 'ell!, I cannot figure out how to do it for the US.
It's my gutfeel that We, the People of the World, ought to take every politician we can lay our hands on and hange them from a forest full of trees (meaphorically speaking, of course). But still, what if we did? I tend to believe that the sudden loss of lying lawmakers would go a long way toward making the world a safer place in which to live.
Amen?

Ya, RO i do agree with you that the two parties Republicans and Democrats are all the same...they may be using different tactics to woo the voters, but when anyone comes to power, the policies will be one and the same
The Indians seem to favour Bush at the moment because his foriegn policy towards India is better than that of Kerry's...this is from the nation's perspective...but if you ask me personally, it is one and the same |

I long ago gave up on the two-party system that dominates American politics. For more than five-and-one-half decades, I have watched as these to parties sliced and diced the American political, economic and ecumenical foundations of this once great nation. As a direct consequence, I have refused to vote for anyone representing these two political philosophies for more than 30 years. Indeed, for this upcoming national election, I will vote for Jesus the Christ for President, and His apostles for the House and Senate.
There is no real difference between the Demopublicans and the Republocrats; both follow the dictates of their globalist masters; both could not care less for the American people; and both are looking for new reserves of oil, or ways to ship that oil (as in the case of Iraq and Afghanistan, respectively). India should be safe from American empiralism so long as your nation doesn't discover vast amount of oil under its soil; otherwise, India may be added to Bush's list of "terrorists nations."
Golly, but sometimes I'm ashamed of being an American.
