Hi all,
I had to go for a new cellphone recently because my old phone's battery didn't want to get back to life. I had Nokia's old model for the last four years and parting with that was really heartbreaking(sob sob).
So after much thought and researching various models of phones, went for Nokia 3230, which had plenty of features and was within my budget too (i am brand loyal, and understand how companies benefit from this strategy...i just couldn't think about any other brand...people told me about Sony Ericsson k700i..but didn't like the look and feel...and had apprehensions about the quality of other phones...). The phone is really cool, and best adheres to the 'Kabhi Serious, Kabhi Fun' slogan, that is being used for its advertising. I went for the 'Wine Red' colour, which is not easily available, and had to order it beforehand from a Nokia Priority dealer.
I am still fascinated with the different features that are unfolding slowly as i play around with it. i am not the type who would sit and read the Instruction manual in one go and learn everything instantly. It is more kind of an exploratory learning for me, when i try out diferent things one by one.
So whether it is capturing images (the image quality is good), recording a video, making one's own muvees and so on, or just listening to the FM radio i am still learning things.
I would like to link this thread back to a previous discussion at GutFeel. At that time, i had little idea what bluetooth was, but really liked different concepts like bluejacking, burglar alarm, and a host of other things that can be performed using a bluetooth mobile phone. (now friends are transferring songs to me on bluetooth.)
Do refer to the following old thread:
Bluetooth in India
Can anybody throw some more light on the bluetooth features, Infrared (i think that is passé, is it?) and so on?
My specific query is that if i need to transfer images from my mobile to my computer (they are eating up my phone's memory), which would be a better option, a bluetooth dongle or a network cable?
Also, i need to download songs (mp3) from the Internet...How can i do that...
Is it unsafe to leave the bluetooth option ON on the mobile? Will it be prone to virus attack?
Do any of the GutFeel members have any clue on the above...if yes, please advice. |
