The Ambani brothers who own the Reliance Industries have finally decided to split after a closed door meeting between the family members. This piece of news is yet to be officially confirmed though a hindi news channel Aaj Tak reported that the decision was taken on the 28 of December last year. The tension seemed to be brewing between Anil and Mukesh after their father's demise and the split seemed inevitable.
The Reliance group of industries hold an important place in the Indian industry. The split will be significant as it will mean restructuring and realignment of the Reliance enterprises. It will involve tremendous effort over a period of time. The customers may also face some problems in the process as these things do have a trickle down effect.
Do you feel that the split could have been avoided in the interest of the customers. Could there have been a more amicable solution to the whole issue? Feel free to discuss and express your views. |

I have ben prompted to raise this topic again because of the media attention this feud is getting. As of now, i think everyone is fed up of reading the same bitternes in the print media or the various analyses and the suggestions the brothers are getting from every one to resolve the issue. I think that this issue has been blown out of proportion, with the image of Reliance being damaged beyond repair. They should no longer wash the dirty linen in public and keep things to themselves. Hope this help eroding the little respect which is still left for them in the industry.
Any gutfeel? |
