Grandmother donates liver to a baby

Recently, i came across this piece of news which had a very postive impact on me, thus i thought i would share it with ya all...

This is about a lady from St. George, Utah, known as Katie Hale, who had signed up as the liver donarsometime ago, after researching on the Internet, that this organ has a tremendous potential to regenerate itself. (Another positive impact of Internet in real-life!)

Last month, this brave lady went ahead and underwent a four-hour long major surgery to save a precious life. Alondra, thats the beautiful name of the baby, who had a serious liver disease and needed transplant. (In case, you are tempted to view the photograph of Alondra, click here.

This is really commendable because of the fact that organs are often found incompatible and thus the patients have to wait for years before they get the right match.

But Hale's liver was found compatible with Alondra and things just worked out right.
