I do not have the mp3 players mentioned above..i have a Monolith player which i bought on a trip to UK. I liked it because of good quality sound and i loved the aluminium casing as such it makes it mighty as the name implies. Among other featurs it also has a bookmarking feature,an alarm clock, and simple intutive controls which make it a wise buy. It has not given me any problems for the lats six months and is a priced possession. Smile

When talking abt MP3 players, there's only one name that comes to my mind and that is IPOD.
Blame it to my poor G.K. you can.
but even if u ask a layman intersted in gadgets, IPOD stands out.

Ipod is a revolutionary concept, n is also a design innovation.
IPOD came out with variants in the market to cater 2 diff. segments, n pockets.
in fact, recently it came out with a variant named IPOD Shuffle, which is less costly,
has less space, n allows arbitrary playing of songs without ne interference of choice of the user, even it doesn't hv a display, n is even small of a palm size.
n apple is adverrtising heavily abt it.
i got 2 look at its promos abroad, n they seemed to spent a lot of money on it.
i feel ipod will rule mp3 market for some time 2 come.

Yes Anshul, i saw the iPod Shuffle and liked it. In fact, these days iPOd is heavily promoting its products, the other day i saw a promotion campaign where they were advertising how an iPod is the best chioce for your car...now the cd players seem to take a backseat with this product jumping in, and it is very innovative too. Way to go!

Depends on what you mean "Best". If you are talking quality - MP3 is not really meant to indicate quality ....esp, after listening to a few DVD-Audio and SACD...they are awesome...MP3s dont match the quality of these....That said, i think the iPods looks cute and nice...and the AAC or whatever format it supports is pretty good....But, you cannot really go wrong with any MP3 player...really...they are pretty much the same...in the same boat i mean...You can even buy a MP3 Disc player...its a good cheaper alternative...plays regular CDs and MP3s...wouldnt that be better?
