Good one.
The fields were parched and brown from lack of rain, and the crops lay
wilting from thirst. People were anxious and irritable as they searched
the sky for any sign of relief. Days turned into arid weeks. No rain
came.
The ministers of the local churches called for an hour of prayer on the
town square the following Saturday. They requested that everyone bring
an object of faith for inspiration.
At high noon on the appointed Saturday the townspeople turned out
en-masse filling the square with anxious faces and hopeful hearts. The ministers
were touched to see the variety of objects clutched in prayerful hands
holy books, crosses, and rosaries.
When the hour ended, as if on magical command, a soft rain began to
fall. Cheers swept the crowd as they held their treasured objects high in
gratitude and praise.
From the middle of the crowd one faith symbol seemed to overshadow all
the others: A small nine-year-old child had brought an umbrella. When
you do something in life, have complete faith that you will definitely
succeed. Never do anything with half-mind.
FAITH is a great foundation to build your life...... |

anshulseth:
The Bible says that faith can move mountains. I have not seen mountains move, but I have seen faith allow a modern-day Daniel to walk into a lion's den and to walk out; I know, because it was I who was the modern-day Daniel.
In the 1980s, I worked in one of the toughest prisons in the US; Soledad prison ( the Correctional Training Facility) located in Soledad, California. In no housing unit that I worked did a riot ever break out; nor on the yard, nor in the mess hall, nor any other place that I worked, because I was up front and in the midst of the combatants; and God brought His Holy peace everywhere I went; and even in situations where I should have died, I walked out un-harmed; indeed, where others died, I lived.
You don't know it, but you are talking to a living miracle. I should be dead or paralyzed from the mid-chest down, due to an on-the-job -- non-imate related-- injury; but I am neither; indeed, I, by the grace of God, have trod upon serpents and come out of the ordeal unscathed.
I live today only because God has allowed me to live and to witness His miracle.; and I tell you that the living God is real and is here, looking after fools like me who deserved to die, but did not.
But I still carry an umbrella in my truck -- just in case <lol>.
