There has been a huge hue and cry recently in the US, california to be specific over a brewery, using the Indian Lord Ganesha as their logo.

In fact, Brij Dhir, a Golden Gate University law student and attorney licensed in Mumbai, says he is going ahead with his class action lawsuit seeking $1 billion to compensate Hindus worlwide for the "emotional distress" they have suffered.

I feel that something needs to be done to make th people in the west realize that the things which are respected here, need to be respected worldwide. So if they can see maybe Jesus as a logo on a bottle of beer, then only they can go forward and play with Indian sentiments. I would like to add that now-a-days the pictures of Gods are there to be seen on the clothes and various other merchandise but to put it on a beer bottle is inded an insult to Hindus. What do u feel on the issue?

Though i don't agree with the emotional distress thing in here, but i do agree that there needs to be some understanding about the respect that is required for the dieties or religions around the world.

So whether it is the case of Ganesha on the beer bottle, or the desecration of holy Quran by the US guards, the issue is the same. People across different cultures need to realize that being religious is not about praying for one own self but also about showing tolerance to other religions, castes, and creeds. What u say?
