Also, what are those needs that we have right now and financial industry is not able to meet.
In terms of opportunities to work with, what are the those few criticall things that young people are missing with respect to banks and financial institutions.
Would like to know what is your gut feel about above.

Hi Matt,
Though i am not an expert, i can only express my gutfeel. In my opinion, financial industry need to focus more on soft skills part...i mean the customer care aspect...people need to be a littlle more polite when resolving issues...but when i empathize...from their perspective...i think they are doing their best as it works both ways...the customer also needs to be a little more easy on things...with regards to other things i think everything seems fine...
Any more gutfeel from experts... |

I feel its an great opportunity for young people, because most of the advancement in this industry is technology driven.
So who so ever is with the latest technology, will steam ahead.
In terms of expectations from financial industry, would for sure look for a strong bond market. As we all know in US the market is headed towards south.

There is for sure opportunity for young people, the focus is on technology and indirectly on skills of a person. How much talent is required is another face of the coin. I have noticed that these days, young people are very eager to learn different skills but to be in the rat race, it is talent which matters in the end. A friend of mine and a fellow Gutfeel.com member Navin has expressed his views on the subject. You can access it at http://www.navinharish.net/blog/2004/5/28.html I would like you to give it a thought.
Regards,
Charu |
