Google launched the official GMail notifier which sits in your System tray and notifies you of new eMails in your inbox. Very soon we might see Gmessenger coming up.

Google for sure is the best search engine present in the market. I wonder what it was like without Google. Confused

Charu,

Yahoo has the same but built in with the messenger, they dont have a separate application particularly for email. There are a couple of unofficial GMAIL applications wherein you can check your gmail within an eMail client. There's another one called GMailto: that change the way mailto: are handled on your box.

Are you really looking forward to the gmail messenger? Boy, dont we already have enough messengers Wink

Infact if they came out with another messenger, i doubt people would really use it also, coz it takes a lot to switch messengers. You'd have your entire contact list set up on yahoo or MSN, and not all would be ready to make the move.

On second thoughts, i think that it would be troublesome to switch to another messenger...but as i was excited about the launch of Gmail, i would alos like to see the gmail messenger...will decide to use it or not depending on the features. Smile

If you see Yahoo or MSN, they both have nearly the same features, so i doubt Google might come with something different. I mean what more can you ask for in a plain messenger where you just have to chat with the other person.

Chalo, lets wait and see if they come up with a messenger or no. Smile

Ya garcons, i think you are right...what more could one want in a plain chat...but have you seen the new upgrage of yahoo messenger? They have come up with a plenty of choices for your appearance, accessories, environments which would be visible to others...It is certainly better than the old bland version...and there are more smilies to choose from... Razz

Being honest, i dont use the messengers much, but infact i felt that the new Yahoo was a little overloaded with stuff. Those avatars, supposedly the avatar changes faces when you make smilies, not many people know this, and infact it cant be really seen also, so its pretty much pointless.

The audibles.... Who on earth would use those? hehe!! But i guess I'm just not into messengers that thats why i have a biased view, might be useful for soem people. Infact i hate the BUZZ that yahoo has. Evil or Very Mad

Hey i like the buzz...it kinda wakes the other person up...and a little colour and spicing up is not at all pointless...it makes it much more livlier...i disagree with u on that one Evil or Very Mad
